Train your Staff to Information Governance Standards
This half-day course has been designed to help practices train all staff in Information Governance in order to ensure information is handled in a secure and confidential way - in line with the IM&T DES. The session covers:
- Understanding IG
- Key Data Protection Act requirements
- Caldicott in Practice
- Data Quality issues
- Security
- Code of Confidentiality
- Contract issues
- Action points
The session uses a superb NHS DVD, "Between you and me" allowing staff to recognise areas where IG may be compromised on a day to day basis - and how to stop these breaches occurring!!
Each practice will receive a full copy of the documentation for use within the practice and each delegate is presented with a "Key-Notes" booklet and a certificate of completion.
The courses are designed to be delivered to groups of up to 18 people, and a minimum of 2 sessions (i.e. a whole day). Ideally arranged locally by a group of practices or a Practice Managers Group, and delivered at a location provided by yourselves .
